Dr Mark Jenkins was very thorough with checking my newborn baby. He took his time and the appointment didn’t feel rushed. He put me completely at ease. I am not a fan of the new booking system. Although it’s great to not be in a long phone queue, you fill out the form and don’t know when you are going to hear back. An appointment could be given at any time, which means you feel you can’t stray far from the area. I received an email saying Dr Jenkins could see me immediately, and luckily I was at home, but I could’ve been anywhere. It would be useful to somehow have options and a conversation. The practice are managing very well with social distancing. Masks are being worn and the waiting area is never busy.

Dr Jenkins always listens and never judges. He is the only GP I have ever seen who actually seems to genuinely care about the way you feel. Any problem I’ve ever had, he listens and maps out treatment tailored to me whilst advising best course of action. He’s always honest about what is and isn’t medically possible and doesn’t push you away if there’s not an immediate fix.

I was expecting to see a female doctor so was a little uneasy when Dr Jenkins called me in but he quickly made me feel comfortable, explaining that he was a dermatologist. I felt that he listened carefully to my issue and addressed it.
